I have a Dream (How Long, Oh Lord?)

This 14”x14” piece was created as a response to the racial tensions in the summer of 2020. Fabric was formed into a teardrop using many different materials in various skin tones.

Moving Forward Quilt

This 50”x50” quilt was made in the summer of 2020. Using scraps of various African fabrics that had been used to make masks while facing the global pandemic, arrows both forward and backwards were created as part of the layout. It is hand quilted, a very prayerful activity as it takes so many hours to do. In this time, there was much opportunity to pray for the descendants of Africa on this continent, for their history and the desire to see America move forward in its treatment of people.

Clarity

This 24”x20” piece is a study in color and focal point. There are moments of clarity that draw us into contemplation and wonder.
